PROJECT PRESENTATIONS

The Nkwúkwma Development has been presented to the Pemberton Community in March 2020 (Public Open House – Understanding the Land) and December 2022 (Virtual Public Meeting). The project has also been presented to the Village of Pemberton Council on July 2021, January 18, 2022, December 13, 2022 (referral package) and March 14, 2023 (Introduction of the Nkwúkwma Sub-Area Plan).  A Public Information Meeting was held in Pemberton on April 20, 2023.​

 

 

 

OPEN HOUSE EVENTS

APRIL 20, 2023 Public Information Meeting

On April 20, 2023, Skenkenam Developments LP held an in-person meeting to share new information on the Project.  The Village of Pemberton also presented the Sub-Area Plan policies and directions.  Five breakout groups were facilitated by the Project Team and including the following topics;

– Transportation and Neighbourhood Impacts
– Trails and Recreation
– Community Amenities
– Site Constraints
– Housing

 

December 2021 Public Open House

In December 2021, Skénkenam Development LP held a virtual open house to share presentations on the Project Background, Land Purchase, Planning Process and offer a Q&A Session. The Zoom Video Recording of the Open House is offered here.

March 2020 Public Open House

In March 2020, Skénkenam Development LP held a public meeting to share technical studies which provide understanding of the physical characteristics of the building site. During the meeting, community input about the proposed development was gathered to help identify concerns and opportunities. The summary of comments and presentation materials, found below, directed the rezoning application and development plan.
